Stephan worked for 30 years on one of the Cape's largest and most beautiful farms and retired early, with the dream of sharing his passion for the environment with visitors. Stephan has made wine in his garage for the past 4 years and with Cape Floral Kingdom Vineyard tours, Stephan combines his love of wine and his passion for the beauty of Cape wine lands in a unique wine tasting experience.

He shows visitors both the unique biodiversity of the Cape flora and fauna and the splendor of the wine estates. Stephan is fluent in English, Xhosa and Afrikaans, with a smattering of French and German.

He is a great raconteur, telling stories of KhoiSan and African tradition, history and archeology, the Cape wildlife, and of course the wineries. He is a qualified Field Guide, and has been driving 4x4 vehicles in the mountains for decades.
